Greetings from “The Home” front ….
WE started off this week with a lovely Easter Church service conducted by Pastor Deb. There was a good turnout in the activity room plus live streaming on Channel 98 in the resident’s room. The nice weather also brought family’s out to visit in our courtyard.
Monday it was newscurrents and a fun parachute game. The staff, with the help of a few residnets, set up for the rummage sale which was on Tuesday. After Coffee Time cart delivery, we had our mini rummage sale. Everyone had a good time looking through the items and possibly purchasing a gently used items. Wednesday was National Beer Day (who knew???). The residents played 5 square in the morning and then enjoyed a beverage of their choice in the afternoon at Happy ½ hour. Can You Picture This was on the schedule for Thursday morning after Coffee Time and then Leonard and Betty Wahl came for a special musical concert in the dining room. There was lots of toe tapping and clapping as they performed. We have Virtual Mass and a Church service with Pastor Deb on Friday. Nancy played for Rhythm Band in the afternoon. After all the activities this week, Andrea led Sit & Be Fit on Saturday morning followed by Bingo and a movie in the afternoon.
Next week looks like it will be just as busy and fun! There is poetry reading and a resident council meeting on Monday. Newscurrents on Tuesday followed by Name That Tune. Molly leads a Down Memory Lane activity on Wednesday and there is crafts in the afternoon. Pastor Deb will be here for Bible Study on Thursday and the ladies will get their nails done at Pretty Nails. And, of course, there is Bingo in the evening. Pastor Deb is back for church on Friday and then the popcorn cart will be going around in the afternoon.
Only one resident birthday this coming week- Roger Syvertsen on April 17th. And only two staff members with birthdays next week – Kiana Meyer on April 15th and Shelby Moore on April 16th. Happy Birthday to all of you and enjoy your special day!
