Hanson Transitions to ND Center for Nursing Board of Directors Presidency

Julie Hanson, RN, BSN, recently transitioned into her new role as President of the North Dakota Center for Nursing’s Board of Directors.  Hanson previously served as President-Elect and prior, Secretary on the Center for Nursing’s Board.  As President, Hanson will serve for two years. Hanson, Director of Nursing at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, North Dakota, says she is both excited and honored to serve as the Center’s President.  “I am greatly honored to be stepping into this new leadership role,” says Hanson.  “The North Dakota Center for Nursing has grown tremendously over its past five years and accomplished so much for our nursing community.  With so many exciting endeavors in the near future, I couldn’t be happier to continue moving the Center forward as President.  I’m really proud of our work and am really excited to see what the future has in store.”  The ND Center for Nursing was created in 2011 as a centralized coordinating organization for North Dakota’s nursing community.  The mission of the  North Dakota Center for Nursing is to guide the ongoing development of a well-prepared and diverse nursing workforce to meet the needs of the citizens of North Dakota through research, education, recruitment and retention, advocacy and public policy.
