Greetings from "The Home" front...
What a nice sing along we had on Sunday when Gary Kaldor and his group performed an old-fashioned hymn sing in our chapel. The residents certainly enjoyed hearing those old-time hymns and Sunday school songs. Thanks again Gary and friends – please come back real soon!
We welcome our new Chaplain Deb Stave. Deb is the interim pastor at Bethany Parish and we look forward to getting to know her better. Welcome aboard Deb.
Our week started out with a food committee meeting and then newscurrents on Monday morning. There was a special treat in the afternoon when the activity staff made snow cones! Residents were also able to play table top games and bingo in the evening. We had sit & Be Fit on Tuesday followed by Rhythm Band and visitations. Nancy played the piano on Wednesday for Name That Tune and then the residents made water bottle penguins during crafts. We had another special musical treat later in the afternoon when Regan McGillis came to play her harp. She is a wonderful musician and the residents enjoyed the recital. Pastor Deb was here on Thursday for Bible Study and then we had another musical event when Theresa & the Plowboys came to perform. This is their first time here at LMH and we certainly hope they will come back! It was a great musical event! There was Mass and Church on Friday followed by Pretty Nails and Happy ½ hour. Elaine was here on Saturday for Noodle Ball and Bingo. There is also Kaffee Hus on both Saturday and Sunday from 2-3:30 p.m. in the dining room. We would like to welcome our new Kaffee Hus attendant – Zack Pekrul. Stop by and say “Hi” to him and enjoy some ice cream, coffee and conversation.
Next week we have newscurrents in the morning followed by a baby shower for CNA Melinda Donohue and her new son Lucas. The residents always enjoy seeing new babies. There is also bingo in the evening. There is Sit & Be Bit on Tuesday morning and then card making with Molly in the afternoon. We have Choir on Wednesday and Bunco in the afternoon. The residents will be playing word games on Thursday morning and table hockey later on plus pretty nails and bingo. There is Mass and Church on Friday and then it’s time for $$ bingo with the American Legion/VFW on Friday afternoon.
